Avdel India Participation at the Indian Society for Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (ISAMPE)-2019
ISAMPE was conducted on 21st & 22nd September 2019 at convention center Mascot Hotel, Trivandrum where Avdel India exhibited its product capabilities at the event.
Highlights of the events:

Special emphasis was given for advanced composites like Carbon composites demanding high-thermo structural properties besides high specific strength & dimensional stability.

The choice for future was projected through the development of thermoplastic composites besides the present set of thermoset composites – mainly because of processing easiness, better automation for making complex shapes, improved properties & full recyclability besides in –situ consolidation feasibility.

High-temperature thermoplastic polymers like Polyether Ketone (PEK) and Polyether Imide (PEI) being envisaged as matrix resin & Carbon Fiber & Zylon PBO fiber as potential reinforcement is part of advancement in thermoplastic composites.

Various space applications demanding composites for space crew capsules, optical benches & structures registering dimensional stability & accuracy, RF reflectors, Solar array substrates utilizing high modulus carbon fiber laminates, composite struts and booms for deployable instruments, payload fairings, reflectors, unlined composite cryo tanks, etc were presented to the audience through various papers.

Properties like low outgassing, high specific strength, low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), and weight reduction are the main attractions for the selection of composites.
Avdel India presented the Composi-Lok & Maf Fasteners, TYE Inserts, Clickbond Parts, Stainless Steel Cables & Honeycomb Materials for varied applications and its booth witnessed delegates from various organizations and a special visit was made by Mr. S. Somanath -Director, VSSC.
